Bumper Sub

Available out of Provost, Kindersley, and Weyburn.

Use Cases:

  • Providing controlled axial movement in the string to absorb shock and reduce tool damage

  • Assisting in freeing stuck tools by allowing jarring or bumping action

  • Used in fishing or intervention operations where limited movement improves tool performance

  • Sealed and lubricated spline drive that provides long service life under high torque and stroking applications.

  • Standard seals in the tool are effective to 250°F (120°C); can be dressed with seals effective to 400°F (200°C) for hot hole environments

  • External sealing surfaces are tungsten carbide coated to enhance wear and corrosion resistance
