Mechanical cutters sever tubing and casing during fishing, workover and recovery operations. Internal cutters work from inside the pipe, while external cutters work around its outside. Tool selection depends on pipe dimensions, available access and the planned recovery method.

Motor-driven internal tubing cutters are also available.
